Quick answer: Your Throne Balance is money Throne holds for you. Funds land there from payout items, refunds, and crowdfunding overages. Spend it on your wishlist items or withdraw it to your bank.
How money gets into your Balance
Payout (Direct Credit) items. When a fan buys a payout item from your wishlist, its value (including applicable shipping and tax) goes straight into your Balance instead of the item getting ordered.
Refunding an Issue item. Resolve an order marked "Issue" and choose "Refund to Throne Balance," and we credit the full amount your fan paid for the item.
Partner Store refunds. In the rare case a Partner Store refunds an order due to a cancellation, return, or delivery failure, we credit the full refund we get back from the merchant.
Crowdfunding overages. Contributions past your community gift's goal move to your Balance automatically.
Recent activity
Your Balance tab shows a Recent activity feed of your last 5 transactions, gifts received, payouts, instant payouts, refunds, and fee adjustments. Tap View all to filter by type, status, or date.
Spending it on gifts
Head to your wishlist, add items to your cart, and check out while logged in. You'll see a toggle to use your Balance.
Balance covers the whole cart? You're done, no other payment needed.
Balance is smaller than the total? It gets deducted and you cover the rest with a card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal.
Withdrawing it
Want cash in your bank instead? See "How do I set up withdrawals?" to get started. If you're planning to withdraw, do it before spending your Balance on wishlist items.
If part of your balance is fan-funded, you'll see a green Instant badge next to your total. Hover it to see exactly how much is available for instant payout.
Before you spend
Don't buy your own payout items with your Balance. A payout item isn't a real order, it's just a way for fans to send you cash. If you use your Balance to "buy" your own payout item, that money just goes right back into your Balance, minus our service fee. You'd be paying a fee to move money in a circle. Your Throne Balance can only be used to redeem items on your own wishlist.
Balance purchases can't be refunded to your original payment method. If you used Balance on an order, "refund your fan" won't be an option for it.
You can't cover a price difference on an Issue item with your Balance.
Why is my Balance frozen?
A few reasons can freeze it, such as a system error while updating your Balance, or us needing verification details from you. While frozen, it can't move up or down. Our technical team gets notified automatically the moment it happens, and we aim to clear any hold within 48 business hours.
