Quick answer: An Instant Payout gets your money to you in minutes instead of days. It's available 24/7, and if your balance is fan-funded, you can pay it out instantly for free.
Who can use it
It's available to creators in the US on Throne Payouts. If you're using a different provider, you'll see a prompt to switch. We're working on expanding it to more countries.
Where to find it
Look for the green Instant badge next to your balance total on the Balance tab. It shows exactly how much of your balance is eligible for instant payout right now.
When you pay out a mixed balance, you can choose Normal or Instant for the non-instant remainder, with the fee shown live before you confirm.
How fast is it?
Usually 1–5 minutes, up to around 30. Whether it's truly instant depends on whether your bank supports real-time payments (RTP). It works 24/7, including weekends and holidays, when your bank supports it.
What it costs
If your balance is not fan-funded:
Balances under $100: $1.99 fee
Balances $100 or more: 1.9% fee
If your balance includes fan-funded funds (money that came directly from fan gifts):
The fan-funded portion can be withdrawn instantly for free
The remaining portion is charged at 1.9%
If a fan chooses to cover Instant Payout at checkout, they pay a separate fee: $1.99 for gifts under $100, or 2% for gifts $100 or more.
If it doesn't go out instantly
Sometimes a payout can't be sent in real time, usually because your bank doesn't support real-time payments. When that happens we send it as a standard payout instead, and we refund the Instant Payout fee to your balance automatically.
You'll see it on that payout's row in your Balance activity, with a note that it was converted and that your fee was refunded.
