I was charged but got no confirmation - what happened?

Quick answer: If you were charged but got no confirmation and the gift didn't appear, the purchase most likely failed. What you're seeing is a temporary hold that reverses on its own, usually within 10 business days.

What happened

When a payment attempt fails, your bank can place a temporary authorization hold on the funds. It's not a completed charge. It reverses automatically, usually within up to 10 business days. We can't speed that up, since it's handled on your bank's end.

What to do

  • Check whether the gift appears in the recipient's recent gifts or your order history. If it doesn't, the purchase failed.

  • Wait for the hold to drop off, up to 10 business days.

  • If the charge is still there after that, contact your bank or card issuer directly, since the hold is on their side.

If you were charged more than once

If a charge settled instead of dropping off, or you were billed twice, contact us at [email protected] with the date of the charge, the amounts, the last four digits of your card, and the email you used at checkout.
