What is rematching?
Rematching is when a user who did not receive a gift in the regular gifting period is re-matched to a new gifter. The new gifter then has 24-hours to buy a gift for this user.
What do I do as a re-matcher?
As a re-matcher you will potentially be matched with a gift exchange participant who has not received a gift by the time the gifting period ends. You will then be responsible for choosing a gift for this user.
What will I need to pay?
The great thing is that you, as a re-matcher, will be able to use the deposit the initial gifter deposited but never used! Thus, all you will need to pay is the difference between the price of the item you want to gift and the deposit. For example, if the deposit is $25 and you want to gift a $30 item, all you will need to pay is $5.
As an added bonus for gift receivers of re-matchers; re-matchers can choose gifts for less than deposit price and the difference remaining will be credited to the gift receiver!
For example, if the deposit is $25 and the item the re-matcher chooses is $22, the remaining $3 will be added to the gift receiver's Throne Balance.
