The gifting period is the time when participants are able to purchase gifts for the Giftees they were matched with.

The period ends a few days after the end of the enrollment period. Leaving some additional time before the exchange for all the logistics related to gift delivery to take place.

We do this to minimize the risk of the gift delivery being delayed so that all participants can enjoy the exchange at once.
